Blue Moon is restarting the Springer tungsten mine located in Nevada, USA. The mine was a past producer of both tungsten and molybdenum. The Company is redeveloping capabilities to mine tungsten ores and process them into scheelite concentrate, and then onwards to ammonium paratungstate (APT) and potentially tungsten oxide products. Molybdenum concentrates are expected to be a by-product of the processing of tungsten ores in the mill, and there is an existing molybdenum extraction circuit in the mill. The mine, mill and APT plant are existing facilities that are being refurbished and restarted over the coming years, first production of scheelite concentrate expected in 2027.
